As you can see from our sample photos even on a grey day with little natural light there is plenty of detail. Objects are smooth with very little noise. Though its usage is rather limited at the moment, once the device gets upgraded to Ice Cream Sandwich it will benefit from the Android Beam feature that we looked at in our Galaxy Nexus review. A couple months ago this would have been a contender for the best phone on the market.

Now, with the impending launch of the Galaxy Nexus and several devices with p screens on the horizon, this device has only one saving grace: But as much as we talk about pixel density and processor speed what struck us when using this device was how much faster it felt than every other device on the market. We said the same about the HTC Raider: LTE is a game-changer. While we would have loved to see the screen of the Galaxy Nexus on here or the fantastic battery life of the Xperia ray, when you buy a powerful, modern device you expect to make some sacrifices.

Scrolling through home screens and menus was deliciously free of any sort of lag, while app load speeds, multitasking consistency and general responsiveness was top notch. I did a few benchmarks just to confirm what my thumbs already knew: There were times, especially during games, when I experienced long loading times and occasional framerate drops, though most games worked without issue even at high detail. Objectively this is a problem: If you do choose to go with the HD, be aware of its lineage.
This is a great phone right now, and will provide what you want for the immediate future. These are probably going to be typical results going forward on any of the three LTE networks in Canada, and more users engage in existing cell sites. But, as we know from the Galaxy Nexus, battery life was never one of its strongest suits. The likelihood of the HD lasting an entire day is good to excellent, depending on how many services you have working in the background.
